Wine maker Distell FY profit up, sees lower growth
JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa’s biggest wine and spirit maker Distell reported an 8.3 percent rise in annual headline earnings per share on Tuesday and predicted growth this year, but at a slower pace.
Distell said in a statement headline EPS — which excludes capital, non-trading and certain one-off items — rose to 271.5 cents in the year to the end of June from 250.6 cents the previous year.
