JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa’s biggest wine and spirit maker Distell reported an 8.3 percent rise in annual headline earnings per share on Tuesday and predicted growth this year, but at a slower pace.

Distell said in a statement headline EPS — which excludes capital, non-trading and certain one-off items — rose to 271.5 cents in the year to the end of June from 250.6 cents the previous year.

Trading income rose 23.1 percent while total revenue climbed 12.6 percent to 6.7 billion rand, the company said…
